We offer a 2-year warranty for vinyl floor installation. We make sure your floor is even before installation and if needed we will pour self-leveling in venerable spots to even them out. The subfloor cannot be uneven more than 3/16-1/4 of an inch over a 10-foot span, or 1/8 over a 6-foot span. Only then we can provide a warranty for vinyl floor installation.
When installing vinyl floor we will also need to install or remove and reinstall quarter rounds, so that the floor has an appropriate expansion gap from the wall, no greater than 1/4 inch, so that they are covered by quarter rounds and the floor has enough space to move.

A few years ago I had my floors redone by Stand Up Flooring in my Papillon Spa in Mount Prospect. The vinyl floor they installed still works perfectly for our needs and is very durable. I greatly appreciate the work that Wojciech did and I will always recommend him as a person to go to for floor restoration and installation.

Recently hired Stand Up Flooring for a major update in my Hannover Park home, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Wojciech Puzniak and his team installed new floors on two levels, built a fresh set of stairs, and did some excellent sanding with a natural, water-based finish.
The project finished right on schedule, and they kept my house tidy throughout the process.
Greg H.

Wojteks work is superb!
Very Happy with the outcome could not have asked for more!
William D.

Excellent job! We had a little struggle with choosing the right stain color to match our cabinets and Wojtek has recommended us a good one. He even put the water base finish on the stain samples on the small part of our actual floor to help us envision it better. Great work!
Vince L.

Stand Up Flooring just finished a kitchen floor with 3 coats of Lobas. The price was right, dust was kept to a minimum, & most important the floor looks SPECTACULAR.
Sue P.

I am amazed at the change this made in my home! Our hardwood staircase had always been carpeted except for the edges. I was tired of the old look and wanted to have just wood. My husband started searching for a local, independently owned business and found Stand Up Flooring. Wajciech came out the next day and gave us estimates for sanding and refinishing the stairs and upstairs balcony and railing. He gave us the option of all wood finish or wood finish on steps and balcony and railing with white painted risers and spindles. We chose the latter and couldn’t be happier with the finished product. I feel like I have a beautiful new piece of furniture in my entry instead of just a functional way to get upstairs. Wojciech and his painter were perfectionists and tended to every detail. I highly recommend this company.
Hazem T.

I would recommend Stand Up Flooring to anyone that needs hardwood flooring work. His work is professional and timely. He even brought in a painter and a carpenter to take care of some builtin cabinets that had to be removed and repaired. 5 stars!

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
What is the difference between WPC, LVF, and SPC flooring?
WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite or Waterproof Core) vinyl flooring is 100% waterproof and softer underfoot, ideal for residential use. SPC (Stone-Plastic Composite or Stone-Polymer Composite) vinyl flooring also offers 100% waterproof features but with an ultra-dense core, suitable for both residential and commercial use. LVF stands for Luxury Vinyl Flooring, which generally includes both WPC and SPC and may refer to higher-quality vinyl that doesn't necessarily have waterproof or rigid core features.
What is LVP flooring?
LVP (Luxury Vinyl Planks) are durable, suitable for high-traffic areas, and may have waterproof cores like WPC or SPC. They often feature top-notch wood-look visuals and a thick wear layer for durability. LifeProof vinyl flooring is 100% waterproof, many other vinyl floors are just water resistant. It is important to ask at the store or do a little research before buying materials for floor installation.
Do I need to move my furniture out, before installing vinyl floor?
Yes, all furniture and other items need to be removed from the area before we start the restoration process. It would have to be done earlier before we start refinishing, as we need to plan our time accordingly. If you can't move it yourself for any reason, you'll have to hire someone to do it for you, however, in some cases, we are able to help with a few items, but not gonna move everything for you, unless you want us to delegate that work and find someone to do it. There is always room to talk about solutions.
Are vinyl flooring and linoleum the same?
No, vinyl and linoleum flooring are quite different. Vinyl is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and additives, while linoleum is made from natural materials like linseed oil and cork. Vinyl is much thicker, floating, and better. Linoleum is the cheapest option that usually needs to be glued in to the surface.
How much vinyl flooring is needed for a room?
Calculate the total square footage by multiplying the length and width of the room, then add 5-10% for wastage. Divide this total by the square footage per box of vinyl flooring to determine how many boxes to purchase.
What goes under vinyl flooring?
Typically, an underlayment is installed below vinyl flooring for moisture resistance, to reduce telegraphing and sound resonance. Some LVT products come with a pre-attached underlayment. In that, there is no need to install additional underlayment, but in commercial places sometimes it is better to install a cork or rubber underlayment underneath, especially when the floor is not fully even.
Can you install vinyl plank over tile?
Yes, vinyl plank can be installed over tile, provided the tile surface is even and well-adhered to the subfloor.
Is vinyl flooring more durable than other types of flooring?
Vinyl flooring is recognized for its robustness, particularly in resisting moisture and heavy foot traffic. It's an ideal choice for areas prone to spills, like kitchens and bathrooms. While vinyl is hard-wearing, it may not enhance the value of a property in the same way natural materials like wood or stone do.
What if my vinyl flooring gets damaged?
If vinyl flooring gets scratched or damaged, it can be a bit tricky to fix. Sometimes, you can replace individual damaged planks or tiles. For sheet vinyl, repairs might need professional help since it's more complex, especially if the damage is extensive. In Stand Up Flooring, we can remove even a single plank and reinstall a new one on top, by gluing it back.
How much does it cost to install vinyl flooring?
Standard Vinyl Plank Flooring costs for standard vinyl plank from $2-$6.5 per square foot. Usually, good quality flooring starts from $3.5 per sqft.
Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring known as LVP is usually thicker in top layer and is more resistant to dents and scratches but might cost from $3-$8 per square foot.
Additional costs:
Removing the old flooring. That ranges from $1-$4 per square foot. Depends on what kind of floor is it and if it's glued, stapled, or carpeted.
Subfloor repair or replacement. If needed usually costs between $2-$7 per square foot. Those prices went up due to higher prices of plywood and materials.
Underlayment installation, which usually adds up from $0.5 to a few dollars per square foot depends on the type and price of underlayment used.
Labor Costs range from $2-$4 per square foot.
How much does it cost to install 1200sqft of vinyl floor?
1200 square feet Vinyl Floor Installation study case:
